Who this is for
Luke works with children ages 6+ and supports parents and caregivers as they navigate what their child is experiencing. Every child and family is different, so counseling begins by listening carefully to the whole picture.
The goal is not to label a child or promise a quick fix. It is to create a relationship where a child can be known, practice helpful skills, and receive support that fits their developmental stage and family context.
Common reasons families reach out
Concerns can show up differently from one child to the next. Luke’s work often includes helping children and families make sense of patterns, feelings, and challenges such as:
Anxiety, worry, and stress
ADHD-related challenges and attention concerns
Big emotions and emotional regulation
Behavior changes and difficult transitions
Grief, loss, or a change at home or school
Social or peer difficulties
This page offers general information, not a diagnosis. If you are unsure whether counseling is the right fit, a consultation can help you talk through the next step.
What counseling can look like
01
A free 15-minute consultation is a chance to share what is bringing you in, ask questions, and decide whether working together feels like a good fit.
02
Early sessions focus on connection, your child’s strengths, and the concerns that matter most to your family. Luke adapts the conversation and activities to a child’s age and needs.
03
Counseling can include conversation, creative approaches, emotional skills, and evidence-based strategies that help children express what is difficult and practice new ways of coping.
Luke believes lasting support often includes parents and caregivers. Parent involvement may include sharing helpful context, discussing strategies for home, and making space to understand what is changing for the family.
Children also need an age-appropriate space to speak honestly. The details of parent communication and confidentiality are discussed openly, with attention to the child’s age, needs, and safety.
When family sessions could be helpful, Luke will talk with you about whether that format fits the concerns your family is working through.
